Service Antilock Brake System - No cruise control

I keep getting a service antilock brake system message. When this comes on I have no cruise control. No codes are set. It may stay on til I shut the truck off & restart or it may stay and just randomly go off while driving.
The worst part is no cruise control while on a trip. Any ideas or advice would be greatly appreciated.

There are codes,just your scanner is not up to the task

Bob, Is it going to take a scanner like from the dealership? I wouldn't mind investing in a scanner that would actually read the codes if it wasn't ridiculously priced.

I am sure there are some aftermarket scanners that will work with ABS,i've always had access to oem's so I 've never looked
