Truck is a 2018 dually with 19K. Got this message two consecutive mornings but it went away from the display both times. Guessing it is still stored in memory. Truck seems to run OK,
What is happening?
Is it OK to use vehicle?
Is this something only a dealer can address.
Thanks for any help

It's okay to drive.
Possibly a ABS module going south.
I believe there is a TSB for the 2018 ABS, check with the dealer service dept.

Had a similar problem and my solution was to remove rear sensors and clean off brake dust. You do not have to remove the cable, just the sensor going into the rear housing flange. One bolt on each one (8mm head). Sometimes the alarms would go in and out 20 times in about 5 minutes. I do not think you need a dealer if this fixes your problem.

Had the same issue with my 18’ at 13k miles. The ABS light started coming on also. Took it in to the dealer and they had to replace the Hydraulic Control Unit and bleed the brakes. No problem since. Takes about 2 hours if they have the parts. Service manager told me they were replacing 5 to 7 of those a week.
They told me it would not hurt to drive it but the warning ding was driving me crazy.

Has it been cold in the morning when you have gotten this message? When my battery’s were starting to fail I would get all kinds of strange messages on cold mornings when starting.

Took to dealer and they replaced the HCU (whatever that is, they were busy and I didn't ask). The PN was 68143491AA. Was only a 1.1 hour job. They got it in and out in half a day and appears to be repaired. They seemed to be familiar with this issue and had the part in stock.

That is what I was thinking when I made my above comment.
