Service manuals

Can someone give me an opinion on which service manual is the best to buy for my truck ? I drive a 2001 2500. I'm just a backyard type mechanic , brakes, exhaust, oil... etc. I don't do internal engine or transmission work. Would a Haynes manual work for me, or should I be buying the regular Dodge manuals

Even though you plan on limited in depth work I would recommend the Dodge service manual. It has a lot more info in it.

Yup... Barry's right. Go with the Dodge book. Just pagin' through it you'll find out all kinds of stuff you never knew! Costs more but is well worth it. Take care.
