It's been almost 9 months since I inatalled the HotPE. I have completely forgotten about the little set screw in the bottom of the Boost Elbow. I haven't munked with it and would like to know what are the pro's and cons if I turn it all the way in?

I have a "newer" Edge and they did away with the set screw boost elbow with both my PE and EZ. From what I understand, if you tighten that set screw, you will see more boost. Maybe a call to Edge is in order ?

If I remember correctly those early ones were calibrated to blow the wastegate open around 35psi. I think you can crank it in OR just plug it and put a #60 drill bit through the flat side (so boost bleeds off) and get all the turbo boost possible.

Bigsaint--- Do you know if the lowest power setting on your power edge is the same as with the power edge ez. I am trying to decide which to buy.

trbotrk, right now I have the EZ box on my truck, not the PE. The EZ is rated at a max of 66HP gained at the rear wheels, the standard PE settings are rated at : setting 1, 50 HP; setting 2, 80 HP; setting 3, 100 HP.
I don't know if you have a ETC or ETH (no sig. ). Edge is no longer recommending the PE box for ETH's as the EZ seems to perform better with the high output engine. I originally purchased the PE with a "hot" #3 setting for my ETH but never installed due to clutch concerns. I upgraded my clutch and was going to piggyback the EZ to the PE but found and confirmed with a call to Edge that the combo would only result in a increase of 25 or so HP and a heavy strain on the VP44 fuel pump with the ETH. The ETC is a different animal, eihter box will work just fine. If you have a ETC and want the PE, mine is for sale (new, in the box and never installed). Again, depending on what your driving, you should be guided accordingly. From what I've read, even the EZ box can "challenge" a auto trans. without upgrades. The PE will toast your clutch if your a "kicker and sticker" at that #3 setting in short time.

Bigsaint---I have an ETC ddx. What about your power edge. I have been talking to DTT they have a sale on now,ending today 2-28-01,they are selling the power edge ez and the power edge for the same price. Can we get together on this?

'99 2500 ISB QC SLT (No Leather!), 4x4, 5sp w/McLeod, 4:10, BD-II, PE, PE-EZ, 4"exh. , Pac-Brake, A-Pillar gauge pod w/boost and pyro, Line-X, V-1, lights, siren, lic. plt. frame says "Diesel Fumes Make Me Horny!", and much more goofy stuff.
