I just had the transmission upgraded with the DTT 89 tc, clutch update kit with billet piston, and MagHyTec DD pan. What will setting the pump timing at 15 1/2 - 16 degrees do for bottom end performance on my 98', 12 valve?
I had mine set up from the stock 14 degrees to 15. 5 degrees. It was not a big adjustment and it really didn't do much for the engine performance. I didn't notice any change except that it sounds like a big diesel when it's idling. Some people that I work with asked me if I did anything different because they noticed the change in the engine when I idled by.
Well, even if the wait is a bit too long in some minds... . it'll be more than worth it in the end. I lived for 7 months without one..... I'll never drive a 12-valve without a GSK ever again.
