Hi everyone
On my '07 2500, the navigation DVD finally stopped working altogether. I was able to make it work for the last 3 years or so by blowing it out with compressed air, but that no longer works. Then I tried the BWBK (baby wipe, butter knife) method of cleaning it out with some rubbing alcohol, and that didn't work either.
There's a thread here on how to remove the unit and clean the laser, but it seems like a little bit of a PITA when all I wanted to to was to change the clock for DST.
So I found out that you can set the clock even with DVD read errors - you just have to be quick. You have to do the whole time setting process before the DVD player comes up with the error.
It usually took about 8-10 second for the dumbass DVD reader to fail, so I was able to do it after about 3-4 tries. Good luck!

- Turn on the ignition with the DVD installed so the unit will start trying to read the DVD.
- *Before it gets a read error* - you have to
- Hold down the Time button for a couple seconds
- Turn the knob to select DST setting on the menu
- Hit enter
- Turn the knob to select either DST on or off
- Hit enter again
- Turn the knob to the bottom DONE bar
- Hit enter again
