I've ordered a ranch hand legend series for the front and a tough country rear bumper. My question is how/where to mount the wiring harness for the 7 pin wire harness. I would ike to get away from cutting a hole in my new bumper and was hoping that I could get some ideas from others. I saw pictures of one truck with the factory box bolted to the bottom of an aftermarket bumper. That looked silly to me.

If I understand you correctly, you are wanting to find a place for the female end of the 7-pin plug? You could make a small bracket and have it mounted under/behind the bumper facing down.

Drill a hole inside your bed and mount it there. No chance of getting the trailer wire caught on a bed corner that way.
