hey guys, i have been doing serches and im not finding what i need. i finally swapped out the auto trans, after the 4th one ive had it. everything went together perfect but now all my idiot lights are on, my tach went haywire and the charging system wont work. i know that alot of guys have done this and probably had simaler problems. any help would be great. oh one more thing my clutch wont disengage until the pedal is almost all the way down. i replaced the pilot bearing,throwout bearing,clutch,and presure plate, all brand new. is the slave cylinder bad or can it be bled someway.

JRosengrant,

Don't know why the idiot lights would be on unless the PCM misses the the auto transmission which mite mean you would need a 5-spd PCM but not sure about that.

Usually when you loose the tach and voltemeter (charging system) it is the connector (dirty, broken or bent pins) to the the engine speed sensor.

Looked at 96 service manual under "clutch" found nothing about bleeding system. But there is probably a way to do it( if that is the problem) .

From 96 service manual:

Clutch will not disengagee properly;

Low cutch fluid,Clutch cover loose, wrong clutch disc,Disc bent,distorted during installation,Clutch cover diaphragm spring bent or warped during transimission installation, clutch disc installed backwards, Release fork bent or fork pivot is loose or damaged,Clutch master or slave cylinder fault.

Found more info on slave cylinder.

Fom 96 service manual,

" Clutch linkage, the clutch master cylinder, remote reservoir, slave cylinder and connecting lines are all serviece as an assembly. These components cannot be serviced seperatley. The linkage cylinders and conneting lines are sealed units. They are pre-filled with fluid during manufacture and must not be disassembled nor disconnected.
