My truck has had a brake problem since I bought it new. It never seems to want to stop straight. Most of the time it is just a slight pull one way or the other, but on numerous occasions it has pulled so hard that it almost spun the steering wheel out of my hands. There doesn’t seem to be any pattern as to when it will pull hard, i. e. cold brakes, hot brakes, wet weather, dry weather, etc. I have taken it in a total of 6 times to two different DC Dealers to try and resolve the braking pull problem. Between them, they have basically replaced or rebuilt most of the braking system and they even replaced all 4 suspension arms in a vain attempt to solve the problem. My factory warranty is about to expire and I need get it fixed or go to arbitration. The severe brake pull only occurs a couple of times a month, but since it could be a matter of life or death, that is a couple of times too much for me. Since the severe pull is so intermittent, it is almost impossible for the dealer to verify the problem without driving the truck for a week or two straight. The truck does have four-wheel ABS, but the dealers don’t think that could be causing the problem. Has anyone out there had any similar experiences with their brakes and if so how did you resolve it? I appreciate any help you can give me!
