Competition SFI approved clutches.......

I am in the process of getting our DD sfi approved as we speak. It will be the 1,1 2 rating which means they are cutting one setup apart and spinning the other to 8500 RPM's. These clutches that are being tested are exactly the ones we have sold from the beginning. After approval all the DD will be engraved with our SFI #. I will check whether or not a certified certificate from our company will work on the ones that do not have the #'s engraved. If not then the clutch will have to be sent back to us for that to be done. I would think a certificate would be accepted. Can you check on that Gene?

Thanks for bringing that up, Peter!

We are in the process of setting up a clutch certification program, and were hoping the sellers/manufactorers would like to be involved.



I will check on the certificate for the already sold clutches, but it may be better to have them sent back for an inspection, anyway?

SFI maintains a quality assurance program for a wide variety of automotive aftermarket and performance products. This expansive catalogue of SFI specifications is used by many sanctioning bodies world wide. In this list, the number on the left is the SFI specification number followed by the product that is covered by the spec. The recertification period is the amount of time from the manufacture date when a product must be sent to the original manufacturer for inspection and then either recertified or replaced, based upon the findings of the inspection.
