I just got the twins flash in my TST and just stacked it with the Ramifier So I was playing around on the freeway,,,So long story short I was doing 100mph at WOT and Something blew out hard and loud in the engine compartment it shock the floor board in the truck it was so loud it sounded like a tire blew out... Anyways it was my boost house that blew of were it hooks to the intake horn. .

So make sure you all tighten your boost hose clamps up. Alot of mine were loose. . im glad it happen because im pulling on Saturday and if it would have blown then I would have been ******.

How much boost you pushing dan? :-laf

Im lot sure,I havent had time to put a 60psi gauge since I installed the Phat shaft turbo, but The turbo is set at 50psi I think from Industrail injecton.

i had the same thing happen, with the stock turbo and 48psi, but it was off of the turbo oh and the turbo blew up too Oo. i still have hy guts under the hood just for a reminder and of course laughs, i was about 15 miles from the nearest town, so i removed the intercooler hose and drove without the turbo the rest of the way, hummed along at 65mph with a 22ft flatbed in tow, my friend picked me up with his powerstroke and we loaded my truck on the trailer i was towing and he towed me home laghing all the way, :D

Now that's a cool survival story.

We have adhesive that will hold to a good 60 PSI. . All pullers love the stuff.

There is video of me pulling on Diesel - Central.com our dieselplace.com but i dont think it shows the Exhaust. .

I've had it happen twice to me. Scared the crap out of me. First time was pulling the boat (6500lbs). 75mph, 2200rpm, 30psi, 1100 degrees. Climbing a hill, gaining on a Ford. Then boom. Had to fix it with a pair of needle nose pliars. Sucks, because it was 114 outside. On the 40 freeway,15 miles west fo Needles. Second. Racing a SRT10. Had him through the intersection, then boom. Glad I was close to home.

Try hairspray on the hoses. Works great.

That was one of the first things I checked after I bought my truck brand new. The Intercooler output clamp was about a 1/4 inch from being all the way on and the clamp was slightly loose. I did this check right after installing the edge juice. That day I pulled my 7k lb boat and was thinking about that hose the whole way. I pull an easy 40 lb of boost according to the attitude monitor.

pesky turbo boost hoses just like you driverno8 I was on a 2 lane in montana at 7 am pulling a trailer was loaded to about 10000 lbs going up a long grade. this was in january, the temp was 20 below about half way up i see a slow moving car, I decide to add some fuel cause on the other side of the hill I knew I would not be able to pass. off I go, I catch up quick boost gauge buried hard at 35 lbs boost the temp. gauge hits at about 180 degrees for the first time that morning the cummins is happy around 2300 rpm, I make my move around the slow moving car 2 car lengths in front boost gauge still buried the boost hose boom noise all the boost goes away pyro goes thru the roof, foot off the pedal I find a small turn out I have to almost stop in front of the car I just passed She is not very happy she stops too and has a few choise words to say to me and goes on her way. I am left to put the hose back on on the side of the road in 20 below winter cold, however on a good note every pickup truck that came by stopped to offer assistance and the 3 times I blew boost hoses off were all on that road????? my fingers still ache from that morning.

I cannot imagine the sheer terror at blowing a boot at 100mph followed by the unimaginable relief at realizing it was just a boot.
