I just put in a auxilery fuel tank in my box. But I have a shell on it. I have seen filler neck that you could cut in the shell side. But I can't find any now that I need one. I did see tranfer flow had one but I would like something better looking. Any ideas.

Thanks

Steve

I reversed the window on my shell so the opening half is at the front and fill through the open window. I dont use that tank a lot so that was a quick and easy way to deal with it.

CPFF has a fill on his topper. His topper had one of those plastic window slices (3" wide by 14" long in front of the big window. He enclosed it and put in a fuel door there.

You might go back to your topper dealer and see if they can install a "Win-door". The entire window lifts up like the rear window. You can also get it with a small, sliding window in the center, if you need the extra ventilation. I have an A. R. E. shell and ordered it with the "win-door" for the same reason. It works very well. Hope this helps. Joe F.

Fuel Filler

Check with one of the larger marine supply houses, shouldn't have a problem finding one in SoCal. Get a through the hull marine Diesel fuel filler assembly. It will mount flush on the side of the topper and the filler cap screws in, comes with a key. I also got a 3' section of 2" marine fuel hose to go between the tank and the fuel filler. Mounted the filler with a 1/2 piece of plywood to stifen up the topper and keep large size/volume nozzles from bending the side of the topper.

Makes a neat installation, and if yoy use a 3/4" vapor line fron the tank to the OEM vapor line (put a plastic 'T' in the oem line) and the aux tank will take a truck fuel nozzle at full speed.

If you PM me I'll try to take some pictures of the install this week, we're running at top speed so it won't be before Wednesday. This is the 4th truck I've had this setup on and have only replace the hose and a couple of 'O' rings on the cap.
