SHELL for QC shortbed

Would anyone with a shell on their shortbed sound in on this one. I'm looking for a cab high... and that's about all I know

I have a Leer Signature and have no real complaints. One of my side windows started to leak a bit in heavy rain which could probably be fixed with some adjusting. I took it off last summer so I haven't look too close yet.

I have a Century "Ultra" on mine. No complaints other than the weatherstripping on the bottom of the back door keeps sliding out. Have to silicone or something, no biggie.

I have a Glasstite Raven Cab-Hi shell, had it on a year now, looks sharp with the color match to truck, dark tinted side windows, dual locking rear hatch, sorry no picture.

Stoutscout, when I was ready to start shopping for a canopy last summer, I did what you did. . . asked the TDR crowd for suggestions. . This is my thread and it's worth taking a look: Canopy Recommendations



I ended up going with a Snugtop XV (XtraVision) and I like it very well. I wanted large side windows that slid open for good ventilation, and a frameless back window.



This canopy has a couple slick features I like. The handle for the back glass pushes in flush when you lock it and looks clean. Also, you can get an optional front window that unlocks and swings down for very easy cleaning between the truck and cap. This is very cool!



The only downside is one of the locks for the front window came loose, but I was able to fix that easily. Also the rear handle feels like it will work loose eventually from the wear of popping it in and out after a lot of cycles. But if I had it to do again I'd get the same canopy.

You can check out my sig for my Century truck cap . It is the ultra and I've liked mine so far. This is my second (not on this truck :0 ) and have had no leaks.

I really would have liked to get an A. R. E. this time. I've heard they are one of the best in terms of quality & construction. I didn't have a dealer to close to me though.

Like Vaughn says, check out Snugtop....

I just bought a Snugtop Super Sport. Very high quality, and price to go with it, but I'm happy.

Oh, yeah... . the drop-down front window gives you total access for cleaning both the truck and canopy windows. I think Snugtop first offered this option, but some other manufactuers are now offering. That feature finally pushed me over the edge to buy.

I'm suprised it hasn't sold..... that's a very attractive price.

All of the canopies, toppers, caps, camper shells, etc. previously described are all very nice. My personal favorite on a SWB Ram, is (by far) the Snug-Top Top Gun! It's so awesome I was just about ready to get rid of my LWB Ram after finding out they didn't make the Top Gun for any LWB trucks. :{



BTW, is this ( :{ ) the "tear in your beer" smiley?



Oh well, I still like my LWB Ram better. Besides, if I had it to do all over again, I'd probably buy a 3500 4x... after all, bigger is better isn't it?

Well I miss DodgeZilla Very much, But every since it got hit, it was never the same so driving it became more and more frustrating I had to make a very hard decision that No one should have to make! Keep the wrecked Dodge or buy a FERD!

Well I?ve owned the FERD for a month Now and My Lift kit should be here on Monday and I'll have it in buy next weekend and they I'll be able to truly compare the two trucks! I would of bought a Dodge in a Heartbeat, But You have to love the room in the ferd Crew Cab!!!
