Shift Kit

Just called to make an appointment to have diffs, transmission and transfer case oil changed at 15000 miles, with Red-Line synthetic. Local diesel shop recommended allowing them to install "Shift Kit. " What is a shift kit? Should I hold out for a DTT, BV?

I had a shift kit put in for around $500 on my old '94. It was great for my truck, at the time. If you plan on going with the DTT stuff fairly soon Id wait. I have the dtt TC and VB but its sitting here on my table waiting to be installed #ad

Go with the DTT TC and VB you will get a longer life out of your transmission,shift kit is one thing,but you got to remember the weak TC that comes in these beloved dodge trucks,you will have the best.
