Ive been reading up on the transgo kits, has anynoe installed one? Im trying to find out if it will be driveway friendly. and what has to come apart

I've installed the Transgo kit, I would recommend saving your $$$ and do a valve body. I don't think the kit makes that big of a difference on firming up the shifts. I did it as a temporary upgrade until I can sell off my left leg for a DTT or Goerands. sp? If the Kit is the way you have to go, it's not that difficult to do, just take you time and follow the instructions, and keep it clean, I mean very, very clean. Good Luck! I f there's anything else you want to know about it I would be happy to help!

I have heard both sides, and for the money I think its definately worth trying. I guess there are different kits though? some you have to have the trans removed to install.

For the TransGo kit, you do not have to remove the transmission, you do have to remove the valve body though. Like I said, keep it clean while you're working on it and have plenty of transmission fluid.

I wouldn't waste the time and money on a Trans-go. Been there, done that. Yep, it sure firms up the shifts but that's not what is needed. If you just want to do the kit, Transbuddy is the way to go. It's a bit more but you definetly get what you pay for.

I'm with Extreme1, I just installed the transbuddy kit from www.dunriteconverters.com. Much better than what I had before. Shifts smoothly part throttle but nice and firm WOT and the converter doesn't slip as much when locked up as it did before. Seems to have more line pressure at lower engine speeds, didn't hook a gauge to it though.
