Anyone using a BD transmission or Pro Torque?

My T/Q shudders when it goes into OD, "if" the rpm and speed is low(50mph).

Will it help at all to have a shift kit installed until I get a transmission rebuild?

Will the addition of 370`s kill it all? Or would a lightfoot like me be ok. transmission has 125,000 miles onit.

You can raise your line pressure to help combat the slippage, but it's limited in its effectiveness. You don't need a shift kit to do that, the is an adjustment on the valve body. Be forewarned, though that raising line pressure can cause other side effects, including blown seals, DTC's, erratic shifting, etc.

Jsmith, yes,370's will kill it. Its 1/2 dead now. Dont add any more power until you adress the trans. A light foot is the last thing your transmission needs, its the absolute worst thing for it. If you are going to use the TST#6 and run the 370's you need to get the transmission in shape to handle it first,IMO. I suggest a full perfomance rebuild. I use only DTT,but its your choice, just do it once, and do it right. With the mileage you have a TC and VB is not going to do the trick.

i'd recommend upping the line pressure some. also, put a converter UNLOCK switch in it. keep the converter from locking up until you get above 60 or so... that'll save it from getting any worse.

WAIT A MINUTE!!

What RPM is the motor turning at lockup? Lock up at 50 mph with 3. 55 gears and 235-85 tires is at around 1350 RPM, that's the engine shaking not the TC clutch shuddering. There is a reflash to increase the lock up RPM to stop the shudder.

Extreme1, I don`t know what the rpm are. Yes I do have the 3. 54 rear. I have started keeping the go fast petal into it more. It goes into OD when press above 60mph.
