Any off you guys running DD clutches have problems shifting on the fly?

I had to use 4wd Tuesday morning to get down the drive in the snow and couldn't get the transfercase to shift while moving. I had to come to a complete stop put the truck in neutral and then push the transefercase lever up to neutral then pull it back to 4wd High. Once in it will disengage fine on the move but I can't get it to encage for nothing on the move. Wasn't sure if it's just the DD clutch causing it or if I've got problems in the T-case somewhere.

Looking for somewhere to start looking cause it's sure nice to be able to reach down and pull it back in 4wd while going down the road.

My truck has the big T-case in it BTW.

Thanks

Your clutch should not comprimise the function of your transfer case. The only time mine won't shift on the fly is when the front and rear are going diffrent speeds as in the slick or going around a corner.

Any ideas on what woud cause it not to shift on the fly then. I'm not too sure how the T-cases work on these trucks. Mine has worked flawlessly since I've owned it until now. :(

Your CAD may be stuck on but it should still shift on the fly if the rpms are matched front to rear.

*BUMP* I'm curious

Any idea why I have to back up with the steerting wheel turned to the left or the right to get my 4WD to engage? Once I do that its fine, seems to want to pop out occasionally (light flickers) but usually stays in.

Everything works fine while the truck is not in motion. Once I start to let it move or roll it will not shift into 4high. I'm going to disconnect the CAD and try it that way and see if it will shift. If it does I know it's the CAD or the front axle. If it will not shift then I have something going on in the t-case or maybe some binding in the drive shaft.

While the truck is in 4wd it works great though, no binding or noise at all from the front axle or the T-case. I've had it up to 70mph with no issues. It also shifts out of 4wd on the move with no problems like it's always done. Just will not shift on the move for some reason.
