I have a built 47re, and my valve body is setup so it will lock up when it shifts to second with my lock up switch engaged. the problem is it iwll shift from 2nd to 3rd at 2400-2600 rpm's and from 3rd-4th at about 2200 rpms and I lose boost when it does it, I am wanting it to shift at 3000-3400 somewhere in there, that is where I make the most power. Is there a controller that I can put on it, or some springs I can change thanks for the help.

You can try adjusting your throttle valve cable and /or putting a potentiometer with or replacing TPS.

Do a search for Howard Durand he has a pointemeter on his truck so does a few other members.

I believe a change in the tv spring in the valve body would need to be made. I would call georend as he would Know what to send you.

I highly recommend using a potentiometer for a number of reasons. But on the RE I do not think it will give you the results you are looking for. I would start on the cheap and snug up your TV cable as much as possible, still not happy (call Dave G)

Not sure about differences between the RH or the RE transmissions but I believe the OD shift points are more dependent on vehicle speed and throttle position than engine RPM.

You don't say what your differential gear ratio is. Mine is 3. 54 and, with the TPS replaced, I can hold off the shift into OD to between 45 and 50 mph.

I have no way to tell you what difference 4. 10 gears would make. It most likely would shift at the same speed but higher engine rpm.
