Shifter knob

I'm gonna put the new #3 shifter knob on and am curious at how to take the stock one off without damaging it.

Pry out the plastic piece with the shift pattern. It may help if the knob is slightly warm (truck in sun with windows rolled up). You need something with NO sharp corners, edges, etc. to pry with.

Remove the nut exposed.

Unscrew knob.
