I would like some info on this shifter mounted o/d switch. Like which shifter to get and how to wire it in. It seems to me to be an added coolness thingy.

I don't want to condemed to have to reach ALL the way to the dash to push that darn switch.

I mean, really, if Bob and Mark have one, I gotta have one too.

Any info would be helpful.

thanks

I was going to send you a copy of the instructions and a picture of the OEM plug behind the OD switch. But I guess there is no way to attach something with a TDR email. I installed mine in May of 2001. I also put a light in the lower right hand corner of my 3 guage dash pod, which comes on when the OD is off. Mine is setup where you still have the OEM setup, plus the gear shift lever, nothing was disconnected.

Rodney - If you don't mind, would you email the info to me at -- email address removed -- - the OD switch is on the list of projects.

Thanks:)

page 39 of issue 37 of the Turbo Diesel Register has the hookup, part number is 04690522AB, great minds must think alike, I am planning on ordering my lever tommorrow... .

Dave,

I did this one right after I saw the article. It's so much better than reaching down all the time. While I was at it, I switched the dash o/d switch over to the right, and the cargo light switch to the left. I can't see the o/d off light much better, but a little bit.

It has been sent. You should have a 2 part instructions and two pic's of my guages, with the OD light in the lower right hand corner.
