Engine/Transmission (1998.5 - 2002) Shifter mounted switches

I tried to search in vain, here & the internet. I am trying to find the shifter mounted switch for an exhaust brake. It looked like a flat, green in color switch that came with a small, flat bracket that clamped onto the shifter.



Can anybody help? My exhaust brake arrives next week & I'd like to have the switch here so I can install evrything at once.

BD makes a shifter switch and there is one that is built in the shifter ball avail from Geno's.

I got one from a TDR member from Okl. He made some that attaches to the shifter with a red lited switch when on. I do not remember how it was now.

I got mine from Pac Brake. Same as you have described. I couldn't find it on there web page so call them. It was around $40-45. The guy that sold them on the TDR was the same except not painted and slightly less in cost. Pac Brake ph # 800-663-0096.

I received the shifter w/ microswitch from Geno's this afternoon. I really like the switch in the cap, but the shifter knob was 2 pieces of plastic. I wasn't impressed, I wouldn't install it in my truck is all I will say. It was on its way back for a refund in less than an hour.

I have the pac brake switch and wouldn't have an exhaust brake without one. Call pac brake

This is what I have done with mine.



It is a momentary on button, and it involves a little extra wiring.

Wal-Mart has a boat switch, pull push for about five dollars. A little work on mounting band and paint simple and it works. Mounted just under the shifter knob has dished out knob easy to lift to on and easy to push off. But will not win the best looking switch award. Ron Bissett In Metro Louisville KY.
