Just picked up a very nice 99 Quad cab auto 2wd stock with 106k miles on it. Well... . I haven't burned my first tank of fuel yet and the transmission wont shift out of first. The fluid is right on the mark and light pink in color. The truck has been well maintained and hasn't towed much. Just a bumper hitch. I hope it is something simple. Tell me some good news guys. I could use it. :{

Shift

Remove the black plastic cover on the front left side of the engine above the inj. pump and move the throttle lever and see if the throttle valve lever on the transmission is moving, there is also a TSB that pertains to shifting on this model truck but I think it was for erratic shifting. bg

Thanks B. G... ... ... ... ..... Had the wife push the go pedal while I was underneath watching the throttle lever on the transmission. Its moving. What next?
