Something is missing on that screen. If you look at bidder 4's times, it looks like he bid a large amound and it was bid up by Ebay as someone offered more money. But then torwards the top only bidder 4 has increases, but there is no way you can bid against yourself. Someone else had to bid somewhere between those 4's but there bidder # is missing?
Dunno - some might be sniping up-bids for #4, but not all if you follow bid date/time - and a little digging will reveal other similar instances on other items with no apparent in-between bids by other bidders - this was just the first I came across as an illustration...
Dunno, seems weird, and maybe unethical - but then, no one is FORCED to bid on anything!
