I've got a complete door from a Dodge M37 that a fella in Germany wants to buy.

I've already told him that he is responsible for shipping arrangements but I did offer to build a wooden crate, provivding he paid up front for materials.

I looked into the shipping process for future reference and found some staggering figures.

UPS-$803, FedEx-$ comparible to UPS.

Some of the ocean freight company's I contacted won't take personal items and others wouldn't take it because it too small and weighs too little.

What is the most economical way to ship items out of country or overseas?

I see this is an older post, but for other that might have the same problem in the future I have this tip. For big, heavy or bulky stuff, try California Shipping in Stanton, Ca (Orange County) California Shipping They are experts in shipping cars, bikes, boats and personal belongings to Australia and Europe. It's run by Swedes and been in the business for 20 years. I use them for all the stuff I export to Norway.

To ship parts and cars to Scandinavia, there is a lot of options. A company in NJ have airfreight every week and containers for more bulky and heavy things.
