Assuming it is a warm place. Might need some coats too, if that were the case.

1. a machette [sp?]

2. large supply of flint

3. fishing equipment [hook&line or spear] -and i don't like fish at all...

4. hatcet/hammer with lots of nails

5. good first aid kit [industrial bulk pack size : it's gotta last a long time eh]



if it is a cold and useless island...

2. signal flares/smoke flares

3. ration kit/first aid kit

4. emergency radio

5. solar blanket/waterproof parka



[if i were trapped on that first island, i'd want women there, but with the equipment i layed out, i can take some time and build a canoe and make up a nice batchlor pad there :-laf and bring the local island ladies home to see my place and for some home cooking. ]

Questions like this always bring me back to "Gilligan's Island. " Remember that one episode, the one where they almost got off the island? Some nails is all ya need. Some good nails. Put that SS Minnow right back together. Don't need them dang explodin' nails that the Professor made or that cheap glue that Gilligan mixed up.



And to think they almost made it that time.
