Hello TDR's, I have as you can see a 98 2500. I have a problem with my front shocks. The bottom pin and or bushing or both are lose. The shock moves up and down about a 1/4" before it engages on the axle. In my search for shocks as the Rancho's have 110,000mi on them I went to an old company I used to buy Bilsteins from 15yrs. ago. The have Bilstein, Koni adjustable, KYB for the Dodge Ram and maybe more as I didnt check any other brands. I can tell you from past expeirence they have had the best prices. If you have never had a set of Koni's you would be in for a big surprise. They are fantstic shocks. Kind of like an adjustable Bilstein! I think I will try a set of the front this week as long as I have to replace the bushings on mine. I will let you know how they are. Dave:p

Opps forgot the web site address, shox.com!

TK, I found the listing on the shox.com site. The model #is 30-1654 for the Koni and KG-54103 for the KYB. Guess not to many people have heard of Koni. I expected a little more interest. They are a greeat shock I believe and would be really awsome to adjust from the top of the tower instead of down below like the rancho 9's. They are also a high pressure gas shock. Check out the web site, Dave

SHOX SITE

David D-- Give us a little help with shox.com site. I couldn't find any shocks listed for dodge diesel either!! JPS

I must confess to a misunderstanding about the application of Koni. The Koni list a shock for the 2500 but not the deisel. I would have to have one in front of me to teel you if they would work. The only diff. being the valving. They do have KYB's for $42. 77 each and Bilsteins at 64. 95. That is a great price. They KYB is a very good shock with as much damping force as the Bilstein. Sorry for the misinformation It would be great if Koni's would work I'd buy em but OH Well. Thanks guys, Dave
