Shocked!

As everyone knows I,ve had tons of problems w/ my 07. 5 ..... recently it has developed a new condition... ... at random it wiil run like a scared gorilla. I have been shocked with the amount of power that lurks in this engine..... mine is bone stock and it seems to be a computer related glitch that is possibly opening up to full timing and fuel at random ... ... . seriously it will spin1st, 2nd and tries to spin 3rd. I can also feel the body twisting ??? under hard accelleration. does any one else experience this stock?????

Sorry Grasmo, Mine has been completely trouble free so far. Fuel economy could be a bit better... .



As far as power is concerned, with a stock 6. 7 you can feel it lurking. It's hidden behind federal emissions required stuff. I suspect an Edge, DPF delete, EGR block, and power turned up on the Edge would unleash this beast.

Grasmo I have heard several others say that you will experience this extra power during regen cycles when the truck is adding extra fuel to clean itself out. I am sure that someone who can explain it better than I cna will chime in shortly.

My wifes truck has been trouble free other than the lighnting bolt on the dah one time a couple thousand miles ago. But anyway, yes i have noticed this a time or two. You can always feel the power in this truck but it doesn't seem to want to let it loose. Merging onto the interstate is a good example, it pulls hard but kinda dull, but every now and then it'll empty the cubby holes into the floor. My wife will fuss at me when it does this "why you driving so fast. "

I have noticed somewhat erratic acceleration, especially from a stop where it is most noticeable. Since I did not have this problem with my '05, I would like to think it is not my foot out of calibration. Electronic throttle control, computers with hidden agendas, and emissions equipment creating constantly varying backpresure - I just don't feel as in control of this truck as I did my '05.

my 04 duramax was an electric throttle and it took a little getting use to. My dodge 6. 7 ... I swear to you guys feels like the timing is just all over the place all the time ... changing every 2 seconds and it seems the egr is open and close constantly making the truck run like a drunk baby. I have felt it run when everything is jiving and I am impressed... . it just runs goofy 99. 9% of the time. I still have not heard anything from the lemon law atty. 's ... ... but I promise to let you all know soon..... unless Chrysler makes me sign a non disclosure of what happens ... ... . If that winds up being the case I will do my best to let you know what I can without breaking any of their rules.
