The roads here in Louisiana are horrible!!! What would be the best riding shocksthat can still handle 3,000 lbs. of gear in the rear? What have you guys changed too. I know this solid axle 4x4 wil be a lot different than a 2x4. So, i will have to watch your posts closely.

I like my Bilstiens. A somewhat firmer ride when empty but with much improved road feel. A very nice improvement while towing TT. Next set will be the T-Rex system though.

Bilsteins with a T-Rex suspension. Everything seemed to tighten up for impacts and cornering, and soften up for the highway ride. The woman noticed it too, so I know it was not just hopeful thinking on my part. Not cheap, but well worth it in my book.

on my 2500 Hemi I put on Rancho 9000. The empty ride was MUCH better!!! They are adjustable so you can crank them up when your loaded. I haven't gotten around to ordering them fot the CTD yet... . but they are on my wish list!

JARICHARD, Where in south Louisiana are you? I live in Gueydan. With all the CDT's running around my area there should be more members here.

Bilsteins+ How much you guys paing for them? Will they affect my ride height? I am building a house and I only have about 2" of clearance now.

Rancho 9000's= How much? How hard to adjust.

Are the Bilsteins available yet? I haven't checked recently, but a while ago, they weren't available for the stock 4x4's. I hope there's good news.

Bilsteins from T-Rex Engineering have remote gas cylinders. Big difference from store-bought because they set the orifice's up for your type of driving. I have the T-Rex Fox setup for running the Alcan with 4K camper at 70mph. George
