if your 4500 or 5500's shocks make a clunking noise like a load of loose lumber; the factory will replace the shocks at no charge.

had mine changed out yesterday, it rides like a different truck. the replacement shocks take the rough edge off of the ride.

i recommend this for anyone with a '03 and up ram. actually the '03 3500 dully was the worst but the factory would not stand behind them then.

the mechanic will not be happy with you tho; to change out the front shocks is quite involved and Dodge does not give enough time for the work.

Is the silent warranty only for 4500/5500s?

The shocks on my 3500 are fine and are actually lasting much longer than the shocks did on my two previous dually pickups. I replaced the shocks on both my previous trucks in the 60,000 mile range because the rear shocks could no longer control rebound over interstate highway dips. My C&C has a little under 80k and the shocks are still okay. I've had a new set of Bilsteins out in the barn for a year but haven't seen the need to install them yet.

the silent warranty only states 4500/5500, but i had the same issue with my 03 & 05 ctd qd cab dullys. my 04 hemi 2500 long bed did not have this issue. maybe dodge is catering more to the business crowd, don't know.

good to hear you don't have that problem. we tend to suffer in silence until someone else says hey, "i've got the same problem". then something gets done. thought i would throw this issue out again.
