2nd Gen Non-Engine/Transmission shocks for '02

Hey guys, time for new shocks, most of my driving is empty, putting Bilstein on the front, was wondering if anyone has used adjustable shocks on the back to

tame down the ride, thinking I could dial them down when empty and back up when towing/hauling. Wondering if any has tried this ??

I have Rancho 9000's on the rear of mine and they work well. I set them to 1 for empty and 4 towing. Newer ones have 9 settings, mine have 5. Have been on the truck for 4 or 5 years. 5000's on the front. SNOKING

Adjustable Ranchos all around. Really have come in handy while towing and or carrying a load in bed such as Lance camper.

I also have the Rancho 9000's front and rear. They have been on for a little over a year, no problems. I like the fact they are adjustable.

If you use the Bilstiens do not use the cheesy bushing that comes with the shocks. Reuse the stock bushings for the fronts, it is a happier ride and not as bouncy

My Father (Jack In Alaska) had blistiens in the front and Rancho 5000's in the rear on his 3500. He has good luck for a while but the Rancho's blew up and had to be replaced under warranty. They where dieing again when he sold the truck. I would go for the Blistiens all around.

My 01. 5 has 5100s front and Rancho 9000s in the rear. I like the ride much better than RS9000s all around. But ride comfort is a personal thing; what I like you may not.
