I put Bilsteins on my '98 and love them, so that's what my '03 will be getting when the time comes.

Cheapest I found online was here... ...

Bilstein Shocks

If you google ajusa.com coupon you can find various codes to try and save you extra money. I used the code THANKYOU and got extra $$$ off my order.

Recently, my '03, 3500 SRW, @ 59,000 miles needed shocks & I decided to go with the Lorenz Bilstein 5100 System. This system includes new front coil springs that raise the front end by about 1-1/2" & a spring pack that replaces the big lower bar on the rears. It makes the rear spring more progressive instead of feeling like the rear is bottoming out when you hit that big bar (spring).

Before the Lorenz System, you could bottom out the front end, easily. there wasn't much room between the axle & the bump stops. Now, you can hit speedbumps & the shock is absorbed nicely by the longer springs & shocks. I've hit them at about 25+ mph. & the system absorbs the bump well.

If you want a bit more than just shocks, the Lorenz System may be something to consider.

I used your link and they show a listing for 94-03 3500 trucks. I'm not so sure that this is correct. Shouldn't the 03-07 trucks take the same shocks? I ordered from them under the 94-03 group of shocks but now I'm thinking that they may have made a mistake.

Yeah, I see what you mean. I went to the bilstein.com website and it wasn't much better as far as help.

I'd call ajusa.com right away with your order number and ask them about this. Hopefully they will know the answer.

The yellow Bilstiens are the deal. Buy them at Geno's. My fronts are in- backs are soon.

Wayne M,

Are you saying the yellow 94-02 shocks will work for an 03? If so thanks for the help and I won't worry about my order.

Normally I buy quite often from Geno's, but when I priced Bilsteins for my '98 they would have been $50 higher for the shocks, plus shipping (which was free from ajusa.com).

I had no problems with my order at ajusa, but never checked on the 3rd gen shock situation. I apologize for posting the link that has now caused problems, and was just trying to save a fellow member some $$$.

AJUSA has great customer service, here is there reply to the wrong shocks ordered:

The shocks you ordered are not correct for the 2003 and up model.

Sorry. We have a listing error. The correct parts are BE5-C614-H0 (front

$64. 89 each/back order for 3-5 weeks) and BE5-C604-H0 (rear $64. 89

each/back order for 3-5 weeks). At this point we will cancel this order

and refund the full amount. If you would like me to place a new order

for the correct shocks and you want to wait for the back order please let

me know and I will make it happen.
