Shocks Recomendations

Looking for Positive Feedback,

Need to replace shocks on my 96 3500

I'm trying to decide between the following, Bilstein, Tokico, or Rancho's which you can get that allows adjustment from the cab,



Not sure how these would work since i have an Air-Lift bag system on the rear.



When not empty I haul a 3500 lbs plus Real-Lite (manufacture not the weight ha ha ) slide in truck camper

I personally believe that the Bilsteins are probably the best shocks that you can get. However, I carry a large slide-in camper and truly felt that an adjustable shock was a necessity. I went with the Rancho RS9000's with in cab controller. I don't think that Rancho has the best quality control, but the shocks seem to ride alright. The real test will be with the camper.

Go with the Bilsteins and when you need adjustability for heavy loads get airbags.

The Bilsteins have worked great for me. Huge difference compared to stock.

satisfied w/in cab

I've had my setup (9000's w/in cab) for 3yrs now and happy with it. If you had an air horn you could probably share the air pump w/some kind of switch. I like changing settings on the fly. Never thought it would come in that handy but in the west, from freeway to off-road and anything in between, I use it alot. Not familiar with the newer kit but even the older one can be made to work pretty slick.

I carry a 3000 lb (plus) slide-in camper and have the Rancho 9000's and airbags. I'd hate to be without them. My Lance dealer highly recommended them both (esp. on my 2500)
