I have been looking for shocks for my 03 dually 4X4 and so far all I can find is the Monroe reflex. I want to get Bilsteins but their people tell me another 6-8 months before availability. Has any one tried the Munroes? Would they be better than stock until the Bilsteins are out or is there something else out there? I am having a serious cupping problem on the front tires. I think shocks could be some of the cause and I am beginning to suspect the rest of the problem is the Good (for a year) GSA tires.

S6, if you have more then 12,000 miles on the original shocks, then yes, chances are they are shot. As for those POS GY GSA;s read the thread I have going here(and others also) ! #@$%!

At 47K miles replaced the stock shocks with Edelbrocks (Got tired of waiting for Bilsteins to become available). Definitly rides better, but I was suprised to find all four stock shocks still showed good gas pressure.

Gaichino,

Ride with the Edelbrocks is definitly less choppy, deals with small bumps much better. Edelbrocks seem to be overpowered by wavey pavement, letting the truck pogo. Much better on fire roads than the stock shocks, not nearly as jaring. Worth it, but I did want Bilsteins... .
