What shocks give a comfortable ride on the streets that wont beat you to death over every little road imperfection. I only do occassional offroading, and nothing big deal there,so I'd rather have a more comfortable ride. Also,I do occasionally put a heavy load in the back, and I tow about once a month a 7000lb trailer.

I just ordered a set of Rancho 9000's. After listening, reading and asking for 2 months, that's what I ended up deciding... . (almost went with Bilstein)

My buddy's 4x4 has KYBs that are superb for unloaded driving. He has airbags *and rear anti-sway) to complement them when loaded with slide-in camper & towing the boat for another excellant ride.

I put KYBs on my 4x2 and wish for something more. Bilsteins are my next choice.

I had poor results with Monroe and an older Rancho series on other vehicles.

Cheers;

BCFAST,
let me know after you have them installed what you think. Where did you get them for how much?I found an older post saying an online store called offroadconnectin.com had them at buy three for 60 bucks a piece, get the fourth free.
Did you also order the remote kit for yours?

Roadmasters for the rear springs should be included as well as shocks. The combination makes a big difference in the rear suspension imo.

I have Firestone airbags and Monroe Reflexes. Rides like a car, but good controll pulling a 7500lb trailer.
Very pleased.
In talking with others, the Reflexes sound as if they perform very much like the Edlebrock's.

Rancho9's, its simple they are ajustable for any driving situation. off-road soft, curvy mountain roads stiff, cement freeways soft to medium, pulling a load firm, camper firmer, great control!

I have the Bilsteins. They are very good on large bumps, dips and off road. BUT, they rattle your teeth on concrete that is not smooth, much more than the stock shocks. I am going to try RS9000's.

Can someone tell me what the best price that they have found for the RS9000's is?

VC - offroadconnection is no longer advertising where you buy 3 and get the 4th for free. . BUMMER

Thanks

Did you get a chance to mount your new shocks and try them yet?
If so, what did you think?
Thanks.

jetson,
I have the Bilstein's on my 93 and it is very rough riding also. We have a freeway system out here that is one of the roughest anywhere(wonder why our road taxes are so high-Hummm-) and I have to put my hand on the gauges that sit on the dash to keep them from jumping off onto the floor!
I have been thinking of changing and was watching this post, thanks for your comment. I will definently do it now.
