I have seena few posts on this subject and most seem to like the Rancho shocks. I've checked the parts stores in my area and none are caring them. I have found a Monroe Sensatrac that sounds pretty good. Does anyone have any information/opinon on these shocks or any other ideas?

Don, I found Rancho 9000's at a couple cyberstores.

Try www.hotrod-offroad.com They have them for any application for 56. 00 each, which is a smokin deal. Also, www.4x4cyberstore.com
has them for a few bucks more.

Don, I recently bought a set of Rancho 9000's from 4Wheel Parts. I called on a wednesday at 5pm est, and they were on my doorstep friday morning at 10am!! mail-order, no tax!

I have Rancho 9000s on my truck. I used to have a problem with a leak in the in-cab controller. I called Rancho's tech support and they immediately shipped out a new O ring that fixed the problem (no cost). That is the kind of company I want to do business with.

Rancho's are good shocks, but I swear by Bilsteins. I'm a desert race guy and Bilsteins are the best all around. My 1/2 ton can handle 2' of air and no bounce! Autozone can order any shock you want.

I'll secound the Bilsteins! I got a 2wd, that I drive to work everyday, then Tow a 12K 5th wheel when I get a chance. Best riding shocks I think I ever had. I looked through the internet and found them for (under $50. 00) each.

Bilstiens are great, I had my first set back in 1975 on a Saab 99le. What a great shock. But! they are not adjustable. if you tow it is so nice to adjust those puppys up[ a notch or two and feel your truck firm up even under a load. Dave
