I have a Uncle that lives in the Longview Texas area who is ready to start BOMBing his truck. It is stock right now and he is looking for more power towing. I was wondering what a reputable shop is in the Longview, Texas area. His truck is a 1995 Dodge Cummins - with a manual transmission. He would be interested in good solid reliable power. I have a 03 Dodge and do not know much about the 12V. Thanks in advance.

Hmmmm, I am scratching my head at the moment trying to figure out anyone I know in Longview that can help. I live 35 miles North of Longview... Daingerfield is the town. What is he wanting to do to his truck exactly?

I am in the process of getting my '94 back together. Got to get the head picked up from the machine shop tomorrow. Getting it back on and installing 370 injectors, #10 fueling plate, new fuel lines, 4K GSK kit, KDP tabbed and such. Doing all the work myself.

After I get that behind me, I will know a little more about the 12V's. They are actually quite easy to work on. I pulled the head off in no time.

If he can wait a little while I can try to help him after I get my truck running again. In the meantime, if I think of someone in Longview I will hollar at you.

Later,

JD

If you don't want to do it yourself definitely go see Chris at Relentless. He is fair, very knowledgeable, and just a nice guy to deal with.

Thanks for the replies. I do not think he wants to do the work himself and I am to far away to help. He passes through Willis occassionally and will check out relentless diesel - two recommendations for the same place. :)

We have not yet determined where to draw the line on the BOMBs. I am sure he will want reliable power. He primarily just uses the truck on the weekends now to tow a 24' enclosed pace car hauler trailer. I think when he meets with Chris they can discuss bang for the buck and then we may have a few questions. If any other good places nearby come to mind please forward. Thanks again for the help.

PS. If you see him and his wife - this is "Routine Maintenance. ";)
