Dealer 50 miles away has the truck I want. Local dealer is 2 miles away. Would I get a better deal buying truck direct from dealer who has truck on lot? Or just as good from local dealer who will have to swap trucks?

That is a hard question to answer. When dealers do a "trade" or a transfer, they lose part of their holdback money. They also have the added exspense of the swap-out. Call the fleet man at the dealership that has the truck you want and ask him to fax you the invoice... ... ... ..... better yet, call me toll free and let me walk you thru this. 1 888 279 9168

After seeing some of the car jockey's racing each other down the highway while delivering brand new cars between dealers, I'd be willing to spend a few extra $$'s not to have them get their hands on it. Warrantee or not, it just goes up my*** to think about somebody abusing my vehicle before I even get sit in it.

You could always offer to pick it up from the transferring dealer. ;)
