has anyone made their 2500 short bed into a duelly. i did not know how hard it would be and if you could put the fenders on the short bed. thanks for the input.
I think the dually bed had large wheel well openings for major tire clearance. This is not apparent because of the dually fender. You could always try some of the cheap a$$ fender flares Dodge used on the early ('89 to '93) duallys.
I happen to have a 2000 3500 in the shop so I checked for you, the dually fenders are longer than the short bed on both ends. Also the 3500 has one dually fender off and it looks like that "cut out" was made with a sawsall and a cold chisel, very crude.
I was at the Iowa State Fair this year and saw that Ford is making a crew-cab, PSD, short-box dually. Had a gooseneck stock traler behind it. Looked kinda wierd with the big fenders on it and all. The fenders went almost end to end on the box.
