I happened to be under the truck doing some things yesterday and noticed the dumba$$ installer who put my 7 pin plug in the bed has it jambed up hard against the fuel filler cavity on the other side. It seems the plug sticks out quite a bit on the backside of the bed wall and the wires are pinched against the plastic where the fuel door is. I figure its just a matter of vibrationa and time before the wires are broken. Probably would have happened while going down a steep grade. That would be the best time to lose the trailer brakes! Pissed me off- they had to have had a hard time getting that in.
So now I have two choices- cover and patch the hole that's there and drill another and move it over- not happy with that- or find a new plug with a shrter depth. The one that's in there now is a standard Pollak. Enyone know of a shorter one? This things sticks out a good 2 inches or more!
