Can you recommend a good hydraulic floor jack

Rapid Hitch- Slop?

I for one do not intend to limit my vacations because of higher fuel prices... it is what it is and I have very little control over it. Its not that I travel (read, RV/vacation) extensively, but if it means paying $10/gallon to go camping, then it means paying $10/gallon to go camping.

I will make changes elsewhere to compensate.

I started planning a 3 week trip several months ago for later this year when I'm finished recovering from cancer treatments and surgeries. I wouldn't bring up the cancer except for 1 thing that I hope all of you will consider. Life is short and you never know when you won't any longer be able to do the things you enjoy. The cancer I have is supposed to effect people in their mid 60's, heavy smokers, and/or heavy drinkers. I'm 36. Never smoked. Social drinker, except for the time between when I found out about the cancer and started the treatments. You need to do what makes you happy, if camping and rv'ing makes you happy then load up, hook up, pack up and get out there and do it. Take the trips you want and enjoy them.

Sorry to hear about your cancer MarcS. God bless you and have a speedy recovery. You are absolutely correct. If we want to take that next trip we should, maybe not as far.

Was planning to go from CT to SD in August. 99% chance not happening. We have friends who might want to go with us and split the fuel bill, but I'm not sure if they'll go. I'm leaning towards no. If we don't split the bill, I'm just not willing to pay that much for fuel for that long a trip. Just last night we were cruising the net trying to get ideas of where to go closer.

As fulltime Rv'ers for 12 years we will certainly feel the pinch but, this is the life we chose and barring something unforseen will continue with our travels. We had dropped down to 56 miles per hour several years ago so we can't go any lower there. We will have to make some adjustments as we go. We are already staying an extra 3 to 5 days in an area which will help. Even with exploring, we can get more bang for our buck empty than towing. We had thought about going from the west coast where we are now to Florida for the winter months but will probably save the fuel money and try So. Cal or AZ instead. Not sure what we'll do should the weather in west be as cold this winter as it was last season. Only time will tell. Diana
