I have 60lb exhaust springs to prevent floating a valve when I run the brake. Now that I'm capable of running 60psi boost is there a chance I could float an intake valve? I want to torque the head one more time before I put the twins to the test but this just crossed my mind.

Mike,

For the amount of work/cost involved i would go 60lb all the way around. I have a friend that is in the same situation. He's only running a SPS62 and i just got him a Helix 2 cam. So he's going to throw the others on. Like i said the work/cost is worth it. When i was building my 12v I learned everything the hard way. If your going to build it build it bullet proof.

Agreed, do the 60 lb all the way around. I've run them for years at under 4K and at boost as high as 85 without issues. Depending on the valves they will give you about 145-155 lbs of seat pressure, plenty but not too much.

I figured as much. Not sure why I didn't do it while I had the head off. Did a valve job and everything. I guess since I wasn't planning on running a 4kGSK it didn't cross my mind. Oh well, no bid deal they're pretty easy to change anyway.

Thanks,

Mike
