Should I repair minor body damage before selling?

As I'm getting closer to getting a new truck, I would like to sell my current truck first.
I have an 03 4x4 DRW SLT with a ton of mods, but I know they don't really make it worth that much more.
The body is in excellent cond except for the right dually fender. Running over a retread cracked the lower portion and a piece approx 6"x 10" is missing but "patched" with a silver piece of metal. It doesn"t look bad but it's there.
It's around $2k to replace it.
If you were a buyer, would you rather have it fixed or take it damaged with the price adjusted accordingly?
This is a Cal truck so no rust and the interior is like new

This is a tough decision as a couple things come to mind. Can you recover the $2k in repair bills? Or could discount the truck $2k and still sell for a fair price?

Getting the repairs ahead of time will certainly help sell the truck more quickly but you might get lucky and find the right buyer who doesn't mind having to go without for a few days while he/she finishes the repairs.

If you can sell at a discounted price, I wouldn't dish out the money to fix the fender.

I personally would not spend 2k for repair but I would also suggest looking into places that install flatbeds, I see used beds for around 1k and if its in good shape that may be worth it

Good call. I didn't even think of this. Lot's of guys use flatbeds in my area so a typical full bed and tailgate sell for $500-$800. They are worth way more but the there's an over abundance of supply in these parts.

Take the fender to a Fiberglass guy and they can re glass it for Way less then 2000 .or are they metal fender's ?

The fenders aren't metal they're some type of plastic.
