Definitely Excel.

Just filled up tonight - 19. 4 mpg running typically 70 mph or trapped in Houston commuter traffic.

I don't know why but my 2005 2500 LWB Auto with 4. 10's is getting 17. 5-18 for the first 2,500 miles so far. That is combined bumper-to-bumper commuting for 3 weeks and two blasts to our lake house at 75-80. Very happy so far as it ain't broke in yet and I would expect the mileage to improve.

Yea... Oo. thats what this thread is all about, big power and still a daily machine.

So KBishop. . what mods have you done?

Its really interesting to see how far the envelop gets pushed while still retaining the trucks purpose & drivability. Just how much power can you have and retain good mpg, towing and unloaded stop and go drivability??

how the hell do you guys get these milage numbers? Ive got an 04. 5 with some banks junk on it and w/no 2 Im tickled with 18mpg 16 or 17 is more like it(hand calc). With climatized Im looking at 14. 5 to 16 depending on snowy roads and 4x4 usage. I dont tow and my tires, and rear-end(3. 73) are stock.
