I have a few road trips and a hunting trip under my belt with the new lights installed and it is a huge difference. Best purchase I have made for my truck so far and it exceeded my expectations.

Same here. I got mine installed about two weeks ago, and although it sounds cliched, the difference really is night and day. I find that I'm driving around with just the low beams on, because even those are significantly brighter than the highs on the old setup.

As for the SUV lights harness, yes it did arrive, and so far everything is working fine on it.

Great schematic! Could you upload a larger version? My poor tired, code addled eyes will appreciate it!

Thanks,

GulDam

Soldering is not a problem, I'm and electrical engineering guy. Wipped up a schematic this morning. Need one for each side.

I am going to use the sport headlights and I am going to bulid my own harness so i can run 2 low/4 low/2hi/4hi, but I would like to keep my DRLs. I think if i use a run the low voltage output wire from the DRL moduls and connect it after the relay for the high beam with a diode in line, this might work.

I need to find a supply for both male and female light connectors so i can make to plug and play.

I bought the smoke headlights from off ebay, they look great, but I will probably get something different because they aren't any better at night(in fact they are worse :( )

Here's what I did

I bought the headlight kits from Borealis in Anchorage Alaska... I don't think they're around anymore. The lights are Hella Euro Style Projector lights and they're wired directly to the battery... right side batt does the right, left does the left and the only load on the light switch is to fire the relays.

Then I added the Buckstop Baja bumper with the large light buckets. And again the lights are battery direct. The fog lights are fired thru the factory for light switch and I have a seperate swith for the driving lights.

Love it! I put on a PA Performance 200 amp alternator I have NO lighting issues.

Thanks for the post , been on the fence about these very lights .

I figure I'll test for voltage and add relays if they need them.

Once again this site got all the answers.
