Showing my ignorance - is the new Powerstroke a V6 or still a v*???

I had been under the impression that the new 6. 0L Powerstroke engine was a V6, but in the latest issue of some vehicle magazine I just read, it referred to the new engine as a V8. Maybe I need to put down the crack pipe and go back to breathing nice, clean diesel fumes.....

its a V8. I believe they were in negotiations to get a V6 diesel into a half-ton pickup in the next few years but the 6. 0 is an 8 cylinder.

Maybe that's what I had heard early on, andf I just got the two engines confused. Thanks for the clarification.

That is what I read also. I think they said it was supposed to be a turbocharged 4. 5L V-6.

Particularlly with the problems that the 6. 0L is having too. Reckon they are getting blamed for it by some, instead of Ford for their bad programming.
