About to install Geno's banjo bolt for fuel pressure gauge and was wondering why cant I just hook appropriate hose fitting directly to schrader valve?

You can, and I did. :D The needle valve inside is removable, allowing a hydraulic hose type fitting, commonly referred to as a JIC stem, to fit on there. While I have them in stock, there is not much call for them, a lot of people at that point of installing a permanent fp gauge, are also upgrading their fuel lines to larger ones, so the stock schraeder or banjos get set aside.

There are many different ways to tie into the fuel system... with several different types of fittings. The search feature on this site works really great, try it.

I have been thinking about upgrading to larger individual fuel lines.

What size AN do you think would be reasonable?

I have AN3's to 1/8 NPT for a pre and post fuel gauge on 3' ss braided lines to buffer the senders. Would want to be able to get a T fitting that would mate with the size of the new fuel line and allow me to port to a 1/8 NPT or directly to the AN3's.

Seems like all you would do is figuer out the banjo thread scheme. Find the right thread scheme to the AN size you want, and do the new hoses the length you need.

However that is from a novice's viewpoint.

Ideas would be appreciated.

You can do it like THIS:

A common air conditioning hose and connector will connect directly to the shrader valve - that's what is commonly used in AC systems - no need to remove valve or anything - simply screw it on, or unscrew it if desired - a matter of seconds to install/remove...

Great! Much thanks:D Is there a compatibility problem with diesel in the AC hose? (Another dumb question; if it was a problem you wouldnt use it);)

Refrigerants are oil-based, so yes, the AC hose is fully compatible with just about any kind of oil.

The fuel pressure test gauges that I sell, incorporate just such an AC hose, along with the gauge and appropriate fittings.

Some people run them full time as a connector hose for a full-time gauge. I'm leery of the gaskets inside the connectors if used on a full-time basis, but they're probably alright. They're easy enough to remove quickly if there is a problem.
