When I ordered my 4. 5 srw 3500 I didn't want the elec. dash 4x4 , so I ordered a loaded SLT. But I wouldn't mind ordering a set of the chrome side trim to offset all that silver paint (didn't care for the black slt strip so didn't order it)

Anyone done this and no a good vendor or dealer part #, and how much did you spend?

Thanks Keith

The price at the Dodge dealer is only about $30 and they usually have them in stock.

If you find them for $30 for a set both sides and both doors. You better buy all they have in stock. I paid $115 for mine. That was from the local dodge dealer. I wouldn't have got them that cheap, but I have a buddy that owns a tent shop and he does a lot of work for them.

I too have a silver truck, They look very good I think.

Some people like it some people don't.

Most dealers will sell you parts like that at COST. . I bought a set of heated power extended mirrors at my dealer. Genos wanted $360 plus shipping last year. I got them at the local Dodge dealer for just under $300. and they had them in stock.

My advice is to try the dealer where you bought your truck.

Geno's will sell you the AFTERMARKET extended power tow mirrors for $360 a set. The OEM MOPAR heated power towing mirrors are that much or more EACH. I just bought ONE from MOPAR4LESS.com for about $280 delivered (incl. $25 S&H and insurance) because I cracked the housing (don't ask). As far as dealers selling for their cost, 30% or so off of OEM parts and 15% off of MOPAR Accessories is about as good as it gets. That's retail sales, wholesale with a tax I. D. number is good for another 5% off or so. My dealer wants MSRP for everything, unless you want to buy thousands of $$$ worth then they might give you a break, LOL! Can you guess how many parts/accessories I bought from them? LOL!

Seriously, if you're getting OEM MOPAR parts for cost, I'm sure there's a lot of us on the TDR that'd be very interested in your parts contact at your dealer.

OK, so you can get all 4 of the chrome mold pieces for $30? If so you could make a lot of money selling them on here and Ebay. Although I think it is more like $30 each.

Same here with my dealer they don't like to come off of MSRP.

The price that my buddy gets from them is about the same as moparforless, except with no shipping charges.

Looks like you guys dont know how to deal with your local dealer.

Yeah, maybe i should buy alot of stuff and sell it on eBay but, most guys are usually "in" with the dealer that they deal with and dont pay the inflated retail prices. I also suppose that you have been quoted over $100 for a replacement chrome Laramie grill. All I can say is... You are paying WAY too much!

Thats cool that you can get the parts so cheap. Good dealers are few and far between. Although when I took mine in for a reflash, they said if you have chip on you might want to unplug it.

Oh yea I have a SS speed grill so I havn't priced a dodge grill.
