I'm searching for auxiliary tanks that mount along either side of the bed, over the wheel wells. I've searched, but nothing do far. Any suggestions? Thanks.

Have a look on eBay item #7924546236. It is a tank that mounts on the side of the bed inline with the wheelwell. The price is $395, which to me sounds high, but it is the only tank I've seen that mounts "side saddle". The tank size is 15 gal. This would still give you the full 4x8 load capacity of the bed and enable you to have extra fuel. I've been considering this as I can still load my camper.

Thanks for the eBay link, but that's for a longbed. It did give me a few ideas on how they can be built, so perhaps I'll get something made locally.

Another QC SB owner looking for something similar. I have a cab high cap and a bed slide so it can't stick out past the wheel wells.

Very few after-market replacement tanks available and the ones I've seen are only 40 gals. or so. Not worth $6-800. 00 for that small of a gain.

I did not pay much attention to the website, but check the last TDR magazine issue on the back page for an advertisement. I believe they had fender well saddle tanks on the picture.

How about an aux tank to replace the spare tire. The tire could be relocated to the front of the bed. It is not something you use every day. (Knock on wood. )
