Competition twin turbo edumucation

I know it's a Ford, but Ben Miller's Mack V-8 pump is pretty cool, for the ingenuity alone.

Sigmas and high dollar P-7100s notwithstanding, is there anyone playing around with anything that used to grace the side of 855 or 900 cubic inches of OTR engine block for us guys that like to keep 'em straight and down to 6 cylinders?

Wow that is sweet! I realize the difference in the the difference in the plunger/ barrel sizes but other then that what is the difference in power delivery vs a p-pump?

Killer pump. We had one on the "next engine" for the drag program. Big thing is that a P7100 injects it's fuel in 32* of crank angle, where the Sigma does it in 1/2 the time. Pressure is way up and delivery is much quicker, so more where you want it to build max cylinder pressure.

So basically it takes a sigma half the time to inject the kind of fuel as a P7100, your saying less timing?

Timing, as we speak about it, refers to the point in crankshaft revolution at which the pump/injectors begin to inject fuel into the cylinder. The Sigma will push it's fuel amount to the injector in 1/2 as many crankshaft degrees as a std 7100.

John Russin of Bhudda Power is now the current owner of the ol Edge Truck... ...

There you go.

What about a modified p7100? What about a p3000?

I just noticed he did say 'std' p7100. I wonder about how a Scheid 14mm stacks up to the mighty Sigma? I know it's behind, but how far?

WAY behind. Having seen both (wasn't A Scheid pump but a CDS P7100) on the same truck it's no comparison. Not to mention how problematic a heavily modded P pump is. With them regardless of brand it's not if the pump sticks, it's when.
