Sigs - love 'em or HATE 'em?

It's been stated that MOST users here DISLIKE sigs either entirely - or at least the ones they consider excessively LONG...



what's YOUR opinion?

The sigs that are really long and have big colored type or graphics are really kinda rude to the guys with dial up connections. Those sigs are using up valuable bandwidth that a dial up does not have to spare.



I see no reason that they cannot be kept to a reasonable length, typed all in plain text or small text for links, and posted only one time per thread.

Signatures containing links and vehicle information are very important.

Sigs are not that important, I never read them, and they usually containg a bunch of garbage. You are able to include all you want in the profile and allows everyone not to suffer the long or giant fonts.

I think that sigs are essential. They give you a frame in which to absorb the infomation a person is giving. I on the other hand think the basic into is more than enough and should be on ever post so you do not have to go back multilpe pages to find the sig for a person. More detailed info can be put in the profile and I think that is appropriate.



Tim Sigs like yours, although fun, are just enoughing after a while. Just to many colors. I think the complexity is a negative.



Joe, I found your sig prior to this change to be very good.



ANyway I think this new system will be good. The sig should give basics like year, model, engine , transmission, gearing, tire changes, perf. mods,... . Stuff you would like to know when reading what a person has written.
